1950s DeVilbiss Perfume Bottle Lid – Jeweled Flower Top, Western Germany
Description:
This is one of those pieces I just couldn’t leave behind. I’ve never bought anything quite like it before—but the moment I saw it, I was taken by how beautifully it caught the light. I imagined it sitting beside a row of vintage perfume bottles, or perched atop a stack of gilded jewelry boxes... and it just felt like something My Darling Juliet would love.
This ornate vintage perfume bottle lid was made by DeVilbiss, a company known for their elegant perfume atomizers and vanity pieces. It dates to the 1950s and was made in Western Germany, a detail that speaks to its postwar European craftsmanship. The base is a richly detailed gold-tone filigree, and the top features two delicate jeweled flowers in a soft gray-blue tone, each finished with tiny clear rhinestone centers.
Though it once topped a perfume bottle, it's now a lovely standalone piece—perfect as a home accent, vanity decoration, or even styled as a tiny sculpture on a desk or shelf.
