Crafted in warm gold fill, the oval-shaped locket features a fan-like motif adorned with leaves, a glowing red stone, and a luminous seed pearl. The locket opens to reveal an interior etched at some point in its long life with the name James Elkhorn, a personal touch that adds to its story. The reverse has a small, shallow dent, consistent with age and wear.
