A beautifully delicate Victorian seed pearl chain finished with the sweetest 14 karat gold heart pendant. This is one of those pieces that feels both incredibly feminine and quietly special.

The tiny seed pearls give the necklace an airy, almost ethereal quality that you simply don't get from a traditional gold chain. At the center of the heart is a tiny accent diamond set with a subtle starlike detail, adding just the smallest touch of sparkle.

The heart is wonderfully low profile rather than overly dimensional, making it an effortless piece to wear every day and an especially beautiful addition to a layered necklace stack. The heart pendant is removable, giving you the option to wear it on another chain or necklace.

While the seed pearl chain can certainly be worn on its own, I have chosen to keep the two together because they came to me as a pair and are so lovely together.

The necklace has been thoughtfully lengthened by my bench jeweler with an additional two inches of chain and seed pearls, allowing it to be worn from approximately 15 to 17 inches. The extension pearls are slightly larger than the original pearls, measuring approximately 1 millimeter each, while the original seed pearls measure approximately 0.5 millimeters.

Special Note: I was told this little necklace was once owned by an elderly woman, and I can't help but wonder how many times she wore it and if it were passed down in her family. I love pieces that arrive with a little bit of mystery. 

CONDITION: 

Beautiful antique condition with the expected signs of age and gentle wear appropriate to a delicate Victorian necklace. The necklace has been thoughtfully lengthened by my bench jeweler, and the original clasp has been replaced at some point with a lobster claw clasp. The seed pearls remain delicate and lovely, with their natural variation contributing to the charm of this antique piece. Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
